Transitional Living Centers
It's tough being a teenager - facing peer pressure, arguing with parents, and contemplating whether to stay in school or drop out, are just some of the obstacles teens encounter.

Now, imagine how much more difficult it is to be 18-years-old and homeless.

EOC's Transitional Living Center (TLC) offers homeless young adults and young parents up to 24-months of residential and supportive services that promote independent living. The primary focus is to ensure that these young adults successfully transition into independent community members.

TLC offers residents classes aimed at providing them with the skills necessary to become self-sufficient, job training and job-seeking assistance, case management, linkage and referral to necessary community services and resources.

Eligibility:

To qualify, participants must:

  • Be homeless youth between the ages of 18-24
  • Provide homeless verification to TLC Case Management staff
  • Provide a TB test
  • Not have a history of violence or crimes against children (as verified by Megan's Law and a background check)
  • Must attend an orientation. Click here for dates
