EOC Celebrates 45 Years of Serving the Disadvantaged of the Central Valley
- Learn About Our Programs and Services at our 45th Anniversary Resource Fair- “For 45 years, EOC has been helping people and improving the communities of the Central Valley, and we plan to rededicate ourselves for the years to come," says Brian Angus, EOC Executive Director. “Join us for our 45th Anniversary Resource Fair at Fulton Mall and learn about the programs and services EOC has to offer." The Resource Fair will provide information about EOC’s well-known programs such as Women, Infants & Children (WIC), Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), Local Conservation Corps, and Head Start; and will also highlight other valuable programs such as the School of Unlimited Learning (SOUL) and Health Services Clinic. There will also be entertainment, games, and giveaways. Fresno County EOC has helped disadvantaged people of Fresno County become self-sufficient for over four decades. The programs and services provided by EOC consist of almost all facets of human services and economic development. In the past year, EOC has provided preschool education and supportive services to more than 3,500 children, provided shelter and crisis support to over 4,000 youth, provided senior citizens with more than 900 meals daily, given more than 26,000 women and children nutrition education and supplemental food vouchers per month, provided health services to over 4,592 patients, and has weatherized more than 1,200 homes to help conserve energy and reduce fuel bills. ###
